INSIGHT: Social Strategies
Sydney Community Foundation and The Office Space have paired
up in 2018 to present INSIGHT – a monthly talk series that brings together entrepreneurs, business and community leaders to explore burgeoning topics, revealing their unique insights.
Attending INSIGHT is also a great way to donate to SCF with all proceeds supporting our Women’s Business Incubator program in Warwick Farm.
Join us Tuesday 28 August for drinks and canapes at the Golden Age Cinema in Surry Hills and for the opportunity to hear from dynamic Sydney leaders crushing it in social strategies.

Almost eight in ten Australians (79%) are now on social media, and more than half (56%) access social platforms more than five times per day (Sensis, 2018).
The prevalence, penetration and frequency of social media use makes these social platforms the biggest marketplace in the world, some 3 billion people worldwide.
To be successful, it is now almost mandatory for a business to not just participate in social media, but to have a sophisticated and strategic approach. Social media marketing allows businesses to increase awareness, drive sales leads, retain customers and nurture a loyalty consumer base, and communicate directly with customers.
This month we bring together an Influencer, an online editor, and a digital marketing lecturer to help us harness the power of social media for our businesses. Meet our panelists:
- Sammy Preston: Newly-minted editor of The Urban List, previously Foxtel Lifestyle Channel online editor;
- Tom Willis: Chief Marketing Officer at LawPath, and Head Lecturer in Digital Marketing at General Assembly;
- Louise Edmonds: Fashion Writer (SMH), Founder of MenStylePower, and TV Producer for Hillsong Channel.
ORGANISERTHE OFFICE SPACE
Organiser of Insight: Social Strategies
The Office Space is a boutique provider of serviced office space that operates in Sydney’s creative city fringe suburb of Surry Hills. But, we are more than just an office. We are place makers, motivated by elevating the experiences, professional development and image of all our residents. We achieve this through our investment in the style and culture within our spaces. These components are carefully curated to support and stimulate our residents and switch them on to creative and commercial insights, in turn revealing a world of new business opportunities.
