Education for Women in Prison – 2014

The Keeping Women Out of Prison Coalition (formerly WIPAN) supports education for women in prison and advocates for improved training and work experience which is not equal to programs offered to men. Learn more about this worthwhile organisation and support them by joining us for breakfast on 6 November 2014 at Parliament House Sydney. This advocacy breakfast is supported by The Zonta Club of Sydney, Shine for Kids and Sydney Community Foundation. Funds raised will support WIPAN.

About KWOOP (formerly WIPAN)
WIPAN helps women who have left prison adjust back into the community. WIPAN matches women being released from prison with volunteer mentors. The WIPAN Mentoring Program provides women and female youth affected by the criminal justice system with the necessary practical and emotional support to minimise the difficulties faced when transitioning back into the community. The ultimate outcome of the WIPAN Mentoring Program is to empower and assist women to make positive choices and lifestyle changes.
