About Saluting Sydney Women

Each year the Sydney Women’s Fund Saluting Sydney Women special event celebrates a trailblazing Sydney woman, a role model and contributor to social justice, the advancement of women in this city and beyond.

In 2020, Saluting Sydney Women is a little different.

This year, join us as we salute the many women working in women’s shelters and services assisting the most vulnerable women among us.

Together, we’re keeping the spirit of Saluting Sydney Women alive until we can meet again at the Museum of Contemporary Art in 2021 to celebrate more phenomenal Sydney women.

About Sydney Women’s Fund

By supporting Sydney Women’s Fund, you can belong to a community who believe in her potential, and yours! Sydney Women’s Fund aims to inspire and create opportunities for Sydney women and girls to thrive!

For over a decade, Sydney Women’s Fund has been bringing women together to raise money and build capacity of local grassroots charities, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable women across Greater Sydney.

With Sydney Women’s Fund support, we’ve seen one social enterprise become five, providing employment to people in need; a business skills class become a retail shop; at-risk youth become the first in three generations to finish school; young girls saved from prostitution and empowered to make better life choices; young boys coached away from gangs and taught how to have respectful relationships; long-term unemployed re-skilled; refugees, tortured and traumatised, gently supported to recovery and a new life in Sydney.
